Growth in Learning Reflection

Learning about agriculture, food, and herbs made me realize that sometimes we do not make the right decision on what we consume. My topic is food and I have learned that everything we eat obviously affects our body. However, not many people take into consideration how bad, food could damage our bodies if we do not consume the right proportion of food. This research has also made me reflect on how one could grow our own food and it will be more healthy than those we purchase at the supermarkets. Growing our own food is the first step that will lead us to start eating healthy. Herbs, is something that has been pass down generation through generation. However, we should get inform if we do not know of any because they will be very useful when we feel sick. Overall, I have learned that it is important to watch what we eat because it will have some sort of affect to our bodies. Making the right decisions will help our bodies to continue to grow healthy.

we do not want this..:(
We want a HEALTHY COMMUNITY. Let's do something about it by changing our eating habits.

What I learned from fieldtrip

I learned many things from my peers about the fieldtrip. I was not able to attend the fieldtrip because of personal circumstances. However, I did obtain knowledge about the fieldtrip when we had a class discussion. I learned that Whole Foods is and could be an expensive place to buy one's groceries. The quality of the food sold there is beneficial to one's health.Yes, it is expensive but the food is the healthiest food one could probably find. They also went to El Sereno Garden and to a "Herberia". They learned that growing one's own food could help one have a better diet. Using herbs to cure or to keep that tradition going really helps our body better than perscribe medicaton.Overall, the fieldtrip went well and even those who did not attend were able to gain knowledge about it.
